International and local chefs are invited to volunteer in the kitchen of the Refettorio where, supported by our resident chef José Angel Zamudio Dominguez, they transform surplus ingredients into healthy and delicious three-course meals served to guests at the table by a dedicated team of volunteers. The interaction between our guests and chefs allows an exchange of ideas and knowledge. By collaborating, the quality of the ideas that we bring together through our programs can make our voice louder, send our messages further, and inspire others to act.
Zayuri, Manager at Refettorio Mérida, has a great energy and high hopes for the opening of the new project. Thanks to her long experience working in the social sector and her vision in terms of social cohesion, Refettorio Mérida is going to be a welcoming place able to transform people's hearts.
